April 22, 2020 - The Department of Education (ED) just announced on Tuesday April 21 that more than $6 billion dollars is now available for schools as part of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). "This pandemic has made clear every single education institution should make important investments to ensure learning continues when unexpected circumstances arise," said Secretary DeVos. What does this mean? School allocations are set by a formula outlined in the CARES Act, which leans mostly towards full-time students but also takes into consideration the total population of the school and the number of students who were not enrolled full-time online before COVID-19 outbreak. ED is utilizing the most recent data available from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and Federal Student Aid (FSA) for this calculation. April 13, 2020 - Last month, President Trump signed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act into law. The CARES Act provides emergency assistance and health care response for individuals, families, and businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In support of this, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) office of Federal Student Aid has released additional information for students. Visit StudentAid.gov/coronavirus for more details.
Additionally, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) announced today that they, alongside more than three dozen higher education organizations, wrote to congressional leadership to request additional funding to aid students and institutions during this unprecedented time. April 8, 2020 - As we continue to monitor the situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are taking steps to help protect the health and well-being of our team members, their families, and their communities while staying committed to delivering outstanding service for our customers. For now, we have extended our work-from-home policy for our team members through May 1, 2020.
We also want to make sure we support our community, which means providing our customers with the tools and automation they need for maximum efficiency. As we continue with our transition to a remote environment, we've had no issues related to system performance or customer support capabilities.

March 17, 2020 - The health and well-being of our team members combined with our commitment to deliver on the service expectations of our customers are of paramount importance to us.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have implemented a portion of our Pandemic/BCP Plan with all team members now working remotely. We anticipate no disruption to service. We feel very fortunate that, as a technology company, this is something we plan for and have the tools and resources to implement very quickly and in a secure manner.
We will continue to evaluate guidance and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and update our operations accordingly.

March 10, 2020 - ELM Resources is continuously monitoring the world health situation caused by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID- 19). We appreciate your concern and welcome the opportunity to share information about our preparedness with you. ELM Resources, through its Information Security and Risk organization, has a Business Continuity Plan, inclusive of a Pandemic Plan, in place.
Currently, normal business operations are in place across all ELM Resources locations and there is no immediate need to activate the Pandemic Plan. Should the Plan be activated, employees and customers will be notified immediately. The intention is to remain open with no interruption to our business, including our ability to deliver on your service expectations. In the rare instance that a regulatory body requires a shutdown of any ELM Resources office due to its geographic location, ELM is well prepared to continue remote operations of services as necessary.
ELM Resources, like many organizations, has also taken steps to supplement its Pandemic Plan by providing interim guidance to employees specific to COVID-19, including safe workplace practices and travel guidance. The health and well-being of our employees and customers is of critical importance. We are continuously monitoring the situation and we will continue to share updates with you, as new information becomes available.
