As a Mutual Benefit and not-for-profit organization, our Members and Affiliates' support makes everything we do possible. ELM was established in 1994 after a group of loan providers were interested in finding a way to eliminate the inefficiencies in processing student loans. Since then, ELM's Member and Affiliate community has grown and changed with the industry and currently includes the organizations shown below. Through the ELM Member and Affiliate networks, schools have access to hundreds of loan providers, including organizations such as community banks, credit unions, etc., and benefit from ELM's technology through their relationship with these organizations.
